The Tom Malone Glass Art Prize is Australia’s most prestigious award for contemporary glass art, with the winning artist receiving $20,000.
Established in 2003 by Elizabeth Malone, Governor of the Art Gallery of Western Australia Foundation, the Prize continues to recognise and celebrate excellence in the field.
Since 2018, the Prize has benefited from the generous support of Foundation Benefactor Sheryl Grimwood.
After two decades of exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Western Australia, this highly respected Prize has found a new home at Linton & Kay Galleries on Marine Parade, Cottesloe—an environment where the natural light of the Western Australian coast beautifully enhances the artists’ glass works.
The Art Gallery of Western Australia continues to acquire and exhibit each winning piece, steadily expanding its significant collection of Australian contemporary glass art.
Congratulations to the artists shortlisted each year, and to all who submit their work for consideration. Their innovation and creative dynamism uphold the esteemed reputation of the Tom Malone Glass Art Prize and continue to elevate the global profile of Australian glass artists.
